Country Club Living
A spacious double lot needed a master plan that created distinct spaces for gathering, relaxing, and entertaining without feeling overdesigned.
Project Overview
The homeowners wanted more than a backyard project. They wanted a property that felt like a destination.
With a spacious double lot to work with, the goal was to create different areas for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying the outdoors while maintaining a natural feel throughout the property. Green Grass developed a master plan that connected the driveway, pool area, firepit space, and surrounding landscape into one complete outdoor experience. Project timeline: 24 weeks.

A larger property creates more opportunities, but it also requires a thoughtful plan. The homeowners wanted spaces for entertaining and relaxing without making the property feel overdesigned or disconnected. Each area needed its own purpose while still feeling connected to the overall landscape. Privacy, curb appeal, and long-term beauty were also important priorities.

The Plan
Green Grass designed the property around the idea of creating memorable experiences from the moment guests arrived. The plan included a distinctive chip-and-seal driveway, a pool area for summer gatherings, and a separate firepit destination that encouraged people to explore and enjoy different parts of the property. Native plantings were used throughout the perimeter to provide privacy, seasonal color, and a stronger connection to the surrounding landscape.

The Installation
Every element was designed to work together while giving the property its own unique character. The completed project included:
- Chip-and-seal driveway
- Swimming pool
- Firepit gathering area
- Native perimeter plantings
- Landscape lighting
- Lush planting beds throughout the property
The result was a landscape that feels welcoming, comfortable, and enjoyable from every angle.

The Result
Today, the property offers multiple places to gather and unwind. The pool serves as the center of summer activity, while the firepit creates a quieter destination for evenings with family and friends. Native plantings add privacy and seasonal interest while helping the landscape feel established and connected to its surroundings. From the distinctive driveway entrance to the backyard gathering spaces, every part of the property works together to create an experience that feels more like a private retreat than a typical backyard.
